Foodie stay in Valence

Food lovers are well aware that in Valencia there is the Anne-Sophie Pic's restaurant, the only triple Michelin star restaurant. The region is full of other good places that highlight the local products of Drôme. Among them, we find the truffle or sun-soaked fruits like apricot. Among the culinary specialties, you have to taste the caillette (a pie made from pork and fine herbs), the ravioli, the suisse (a shortbread man) and the pogne (a brioche traditionally made at Easter). Enjoy local produce in your Kyriad restaurant.

An interesting story about Valence

Currently nearly 10% of the population of Valence is from Armenia, the city has the largest Armenian community in France. This is explained by the arrival of many refugees in the city of Drôme between 1918 and 1921, following the Armenian genocide of 1915. You can also visit the Armenian Heritage Center on rue Louis Gallet in Valence, which has a permanent exhibition highlighting this episode in history.
